In a Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) webinar, Ellen Seidman reported lessons from her CFSI-led trip to South Africa to gain an in-depth understanding of how banks and financial services providers are serving the underbanked population, and what lessons the U.S. can learn. Seidman analyzed South African financial policy, product design, and risk management, underscoring the importance of government action to focus on underbanked.
